The Weekly Walk: Friends

The Weekly WalkArticle of the Week: Company

People take young, energetic dogs to dog parks, so the pups can burn off their energy in constructive ways with pals. People take elderly dogs for short walks and rest with them inside or in the shade. People take skittish dogs to calm, spacious parks, so the pooches can get exercise and perhaps socialize with one or two friends. All of these dogs are different and have specific needs that make them feel comfortable, but do you see the one binding characteristic? None of them want to be alone. Whether they are with other dogs or with their owners, they enjoy company; they enjoy friendship. That is why we enjoy the video below. Rather than keeping the handicapped dog alone in a backyard, his owner encourages him to show everyone that he still enjoys being with others.
